Safe Haven Humane Society

Re-Home the Homeless Pets of Jo Daviess County and the Tri-State Area

Safe Haven is a county wide Humane Society supported entirely by community donations and dedicated volunteers. We place no time limit on the length of stay once a cat or dog has been accepted into our adoption program.

We believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of adoptable stray, unwanted, abused companion animals and the people who open their hearts and homes to them.

Featured Pet

Sunny is a very handsome active young dog. He loves to run and will probably love the cooler weather. He is a Golden/Great Pyrennes mix and he is a fairly large dog. Once he settles down he loves a belly rub and to get attention. He needs obedience training, but he is a smart dog and will learn quickly. Sunny will need a home with room to run. He is an alpha dog and would do best in a home with no other pets.
